Project REACH –
Reviewing Education through Assessment and Classroom Highlights
Launched by Interlancy Education in 2023 at Udaya Public School, Project REACH is a transformative initiative focused on fostering healthy, respectful, and engaging learning environments. REACH stands for Reviewing Education through Assessment and Classroom Highlights, and it aims to strengthen classroom practices by promoting student wellbeing and supporting professional growth among teachers.
At its core, Project REACH uses classroom observations—conducted both in person and via CCTV—to record objective, factual, and unbiased data on classroom dynamics. Trained observers assess key areas such as student engagement, teaching methods, classroom management, and the emotional tone of interactions.
The purpose is not to scrutinize, but to support. Observations are followed by constructive feedback and collaborative discussions, helping educators identify areas of strength and opportunities for development. Monthly reporting and ongoing support ensure consistency and continuous improvement.
Project REACH takes a clear stand against harmful practices including corporal punishment, negative comparisons, and public humiliation—all of which threaten emotional safety and hinder learning. In contrast, the program champions positive reinforcement, inclusive methods, and respectful communication.
By aligning observation with empathy, and feedback with actionable support, Project REACH is more than an evaluation mechanism—it’s a partnership for progress. Every element is designed to uphold professional ethics, promote mental health, and improve academic outcomes, creating classrooms where every student feels valued, respected, and ready to learn.
